Year of New Beer: Simtra Triple IPA, Knee Deep Brewing Co. (CA)

Intense citrus and tropical fruits on the nose, along with a slight Willie Nelson herbal quality. On the tongue, candied pineapple, mango, and apricot assert themselves initially. In the mid-palate a sugary malt rises up before drying out on the finish with a palate stripping bitterness. Remarkably well-hidden alcohol. One of the better "big" IPA's I've had in a while.
