Year of New Beer: Golden Stout, Country Boy Brewing (Lexington)

Playing tricks on the mind, this light colored stout offers up a nose of mild coffee and chocolate, with hints of vanilla arriving as the glass warms. Very similar on the tongue as a solid, roasty malt backbone carries an undercurrent of coffee and bittersweet chocolate. As with the aroma, vanilla makes its appearance as the temperature increases. Rich and full-bodied. Very nice.
