Year of New Beer: Sixfold XIII: Wine Barrel Saison with Hibiscus, West 6th Brewing (Lexington)

Had somehow missed this on previous trips to the taproom, so I was glad to see it on tonight. Great nose of red wine, tart green apples, cherries, and a significant oak note. Moderately sour on the tongue, with the vinous notes coming through well. Cherries, apple, and lemon all appear, slightly acidic in their bite. The barrel character is earthy and damp with a hint of leather. Dry and tart through the finish. I'd be lying if I said I could pick out hibiscus in this, but that doesn't make it any less delicious.
