Year of New Beer: The Train I Ride, Clown Shoes (MA)

Candied pineapple, apricot, and mango on the nose, with a big, malty backbone that seems to increase with warmth. On the tongue, more earthy tones of pine and grass begin to develop. Fruit aspects build on the mid-palate, along with a honey-sweet malt. And then the alcohol burn kicks in and becomes the dominant feature through the finish. Not my favorite from Clown Shoes, but still pretty solid.
