Year of New Beer: Oscillation Point, Blue Stallion Brewing (Lexington)

Written By: Dion on 05/15/2018

Part of their Lexington Craft Beer Week Test Batch Tuesday, this one blends a cider and a lager to produce a dangerously drinkable brew. The nose is a bit sharp with the currants providing a sour note, backed by a bit of caramel/brown sugar sweetness. On the tongue is a bubbly, almost spritzer-ish fruity concoction that nearly defies description. Tart and berry-like with an underlying sweetness from the sorghum. Super easy drinking given that the 8.5% alcohol is nowhere to be found. Excellent. Larger quantities of all the Test Batch brews means you just might get lucky later in the week. Don't sleep on these!
