Year of New Beer: Chariot, Urban Artifact (Cincinnati)

The nose is greeted by the expected punch of tart cherries, but it's the subtle aspects of the aroma that steal the show for me. The coriander is modest, taking a backseat to hints of vanilla and a pale malt that presents as graham cracker. On the tongue, the cherries are sharply acidic on the front end, softening under the vanilla along the middle. Still get a pie crust note here as well, finishing with a trace of salinity that only adds to the depth. Goses are just a style I love in general, and this one, while while straying a bit from the traditional, checks a lot of boxes for me. Nicely done.
