Year of New Beer: Key Lime Pie Gose, Rock House Brewing (Lexington)

I love goses in general, and I'm becoming convinced that Key Lime versions of the style are pretty much my favorite. This one certainly backs that up. The lime is honestly a bit subdued on the nose, allowing an almost marshmallow creme to have equal footing. Subtle graham cracker that seems to increase a bit with warmth, but I couldn't let it sit long enough to really know. Incredibly balanced flavor profile that offers up just enough lime to produce a moderate tartness before being reigned in by a not-too-sweet whipped cream. Just a hint of salty margarita in there. Much as it does in the aroma, graham cracker crust arrives on the finish, rounding out a nearly perfect presentation of the delicious dessert. Bravo Rock House! Extremely well done.
