Year of New Beer: Iron Hill Brewery Flight (Philadelphia)

When you can see the brewery from your hotel room, you have to visit, right? On the left is Philly Special, a New England IPA that had a great tropical fruit aroma. Just a touch bitter as opposed to "soft", but still very good. Next is POG Champ, a passion fruit, orange, guava gose that is outstanding. Liquid Sweetarts. Third from left is a bourbon barrel Russian Imperial Stout that misses the mark a bit. Didn't have the roasty depth needed to support the bourbon. A bit flat, almost as if it was on nitro. Last was Bedotter, a Belgian Tripel with some dark fruits and clove. Pretty solid. POG and the Philly NEIPA were certainly the standouts, both very good. Would definitely like to try some more from these guys.
