Year of New Beer: Chocolate Cherry Coconut Common, Rock House Brewing (Lexington)

This is exactly what I'm talking about when I try to explain to people that "dark" doesn't have to mean "heavy". Very nice blend of chocolate and coconut alongside toasty malts. Hints of coffee and only the mildest of cherries. On the tongue, cherries are very subtle, lending a berry-like sweetness. The roast really steps up and provides an awesome base for copious amounts of coconut, all wrapped up in a smooth, easy-drinking brew. Tons of flavor without being thick or heavy. Very nice.
