Year of New Beer: Never Never Sorry Sorry, The Veil Brewing Co (VA)

One look at this pour and you know it's packed with fruit. Black currants and blackberries lead the way on the nose, almost as if I had opened a jar of homemade preserves. Apricot and raspberry are subtle, offering up a layer of unripened fruit skins. Pretty hefty punch of tartness from the currants hits the taste buds, with the berries coming off just a bit softer, adding once again a jammy element. Apricot remains subdued while additional acidity presents a bit like lemon. Very faint, salty notes on the backend. Every bit as tasty as it is pretty.
