Year of New Beer: Birra, Prairie Artisan Ales (OK)

The nose is rather muted, with lighter notes of peach, lemon zest, and a spice tone similar to witbiers. Similar on the tongue as nothing really pops. Like a semi-dry white wine, there is an initial sweetness that gets nudged aside by the peppery, tart tones I expect in a saison. Easy drinking but not in the upper echelon of the style.
