Year of New Beer: Peppermint Mocha Stout (L) and Honey Crisp Cider (R), Country Boy Brewing (KY)

Two beverages on the opposite ends of the spectrum, for sure. Nate's Coffee Stout gets a subtle shot of peppermint that starts off a little unusual, coming off almost like spruce tips. Warmth allows the mint to develop a bit, complementing the chocolate and coffee well. Next up is a cider, which I rarely choose. This one walks the line between tart and sweet in masterful fashion. Light (obviously) and crisp, with zero hint of alcohol. Showcases the fruit really well. Nicely done on both counts.
