Year of New Beer: Kentuckified Hazy IPA, Country Boy Brewing (Lexington)

It doesn't get much more "Kentucky Proud" than this...malt, hops, and yeast all sourced from KY producers, giving us the most truly Kentucky beer of the modern brewing era. The nose pops with a persistent grapefruit rind, backed by subtle pine and herbal grasses. Warmth brings peach skin and apricot. Similar on the tongue as the grapefruit is mild and juicy, with the auxiliary notes of peach seemingly more present here than in the aroma. Light pine and and a low-level earthy malt on the finish. Very smooth and easy drinking at 6.3%. Definitely worth a stop when it debuts in both taprooms on Friday.
