Year of New Beer: Operation Flintlock: Peanut Butter, Listermann Brewing Co (Cincinnati)

Huuuge peanut butter aroma all but overpowers the coffee and vanilla, with warmth finally allowing a bit of roasted bean to come through. Freshly shelled peanuts lead the way on the taste buds, earthy and husky to start. Some aeration brings a creamy sweetness as the vanilla and lactose begin to exert their influence. Finishes with a light coffee roast and a still dominating peanut butter. Big, full-bodied beer for such a reasonable ABV. If you are on the fence about PB stouts, this one could help you make up your mind, pro or con. I'm on the pro side. Good stuff.
