Year of New Beer: Tropical Blender IPA, Clown Shoes (MA)

Aroma features hints of guava and mango as described on the label, although both are a bit more subdued than I anticipated. Instead, more classic notes of grapefruit and orange peel seem to be more dominant. For the most part, flavors seem to follow along the same lines. Fruits lean more toward sharp and slightly biting as opposed to juicy. Pale malt in the background, with the lactose offering up just a bit of sweetness. This is good, but it doesn't have the slushy, "milkshake" qualities I thought it would given the fruit additions. Presents almost more as a solid, traditional IPA.
