Year of New Beer: TrimTab flight, TrimTab Brewing (Birmingham)

I've had the opportunity to enjoy many beers from this brewery, but had never been to the taproom before tonight. Started with the Passionfruit Margarita Sour, which delivered the tartness, but offered up just enough passionfruit sweetness for balance. Paradise Now was a raspberry Berliner Weisse. Fairly standard, lightly bready base with a pleasant raspberry punch that doesn't overpower or get artificial. Cake Therapy brought plenty of chocolate malt and a bit of cinnamon, but I thought the vanilla was lacking a bit. Just a tad thin. Last up was Hazelnut Cocoa Language of Thunder. Baker's chocolate and a subtle hazelnut across the middle. Not much impact from the bourbon barrel portion of the blend, but still a very nice beer. All very good brews. Also sampled the Dripping Gold NEIPA with El Dorado hops. Light and juicy with hints of melon, pear, and pineapple. Very nice. Highly recommend a stop here if you find yourself in Birmingham with some time to kill.
