Year of New Beer: Spyglass, Urban Artifact (Cincinnati)

Really interesting beer that seems to meander between styles, but is quite tasty, nonetheless. The citrus fruits are obviously front and center, as the lemon-lime combo comes through loud and clear. Hints of mineral water and a light, bready note on the nose, as well. Pretty solid punch of sour on the tongue, with auxiliary notes of berry and a gose-like salinity. There's a really unusual herbal note on the finish that for some reason reminds me of ginger, with a yeast presence that almost leans saison, but eventually winds back around to sour. Could definitely crush these in a socially-distant manner at the pool this summer. Or...fall.
