Year of New Beer: Pop Art, Rock House Brewing Co (Lexington)

Sometimes it's difficult to come up with a variety of descriptors to do a particular beer justice. This is not one of those times, as this beer doesn't require anything fancy. Remember when you were a kid, and off in the distance you would hear a bell ringing? Or maybe some carnival-like music blaring through a speaker/megaphone? It meant the ice cream truck was about to hit your street. And this is the beer equivalent of one of my favorite treats...the push pop. Tangerine atop a subtle vanilla-esque cream on the nose, with flavors to match. Dead-on orange sherbet that gives a slight citrusy kick before allowing the lactose sweetness to practically turn this into a sorbet. A delicious, fruity beer sorbet. Very enjoyable.
