Year of New Beer: Raspberry Berliner Weisse, Country Boy Brewing (Georgetown)

Perfect beer for a scorcher of a day. Raspberry leaps from the glass, layered over a slightly dusty hay. On the tongue, this is tart, but not overly so. Raspberry produces just a bit of pucker, with the sharpness evoking notes of lemon and Granny Smith apple as well. There's a faint berry sweetness along the middle, but it's fleeting, allowing the tartness to return and hold through the finish. Just enough wheat backing for depth. Enjoyed this one a lot.
