Year of New Beer: Apricot Berliner Weiss, Country Boy Brewing Co (Lexington)
Written By: Dion on 06/26/2020
Love apricot beers, so a quick trip to the Georgetown taproom was in order tonight. No doubt as to the star of the show as a ton of apricot hits the nose, juicy with plenty of skin melting into a soft, dusty wheat base. So full on the tongue, moderately tart, and very juicy. Takes on hints of peach and berry, but stays true to the apricot overall. Seems to have a fuller, slightly thicker body than the raspberry Berliner from a few days ago. At any rate, if you like tart apricot, this will land squarely in your wheelhouse. Awesome summer brew.
