Year of New Beer: Batalla De Puebla, Wooden Cask Brewing Co (Newport, KY)

Nose is subtle, with an overall margarita-like essence. Does have a unique floral aspect that builds with warmth. On the tongue, tequila does step up to be noticed, as does the woody character of the barrel. A little earthy, with a Sweetart lime effect and a very mild brine. Honestly think the lime and the salt elements could be cranked up a bit, but this is still a tasty beer, and by far the best thing I've had from Wooden Cask.
