Year of New Beer: Tropical Sour with Mango, Passion Fruit, and Guava, West 6th Brewing (Lexington)

Take an already awesome sour and hit it with some mango...odds are, I'm gonna like it. As in the original, passion fruit is the heavy hitter on the nose, with guava and mango being a bit more subtle, but you know they are there. Almost a sourdough bread note as it warms. Tropical fruit punch on the tongue. Fruits present in Sweetart fashion, with the mango seemingly offering up the balance to the sour. Even though they aren't added, auxiliary notes of peach skin, lemon, and tart white grape are suggested as well. This is an awesome beer for these last few days of summer. Well done.
