Year of New Beer: Year Of Our Lord, Atrium Brewing (Louisville)

Another trip west tonight yields another delicious beverage from Atrium. Straight up chocolate bomb on the nose. Rich and silky smooth. Reminds me of some of the decadent hot chocolates found at the French Broad Chocolate Lounge in Asheville. Warmth allows for the faintest hint of coconut. Transitions beautifully to the tongue, with the chocolate again leading the way. It's sweet, but stops short of going over the top, as an underlying roast balances things out. Coconut remains subtle throughout. Not sure where they hid the 11% ABV, because it's nearly imperceptible. This is just ridiculously good. And I'm not the least bit surprised.
