No mistaking the ginger on the nose as it hits early and dominates throughout. Warmth does bring on chocolate, caramel, and molasses. Very similar on the tongue as the ginger asserts itself from the beginning. Brown sugar and caramel do attempt to balance things a bit more than they did in the aroma, along with a bourbon note that hints at vanilla and oak. Bittersweet chocolate and gingersnap cookie through the finish. An interesting variant for sure, but you need to have a love for ginger to enjoy it. Thankfully, I do!
