Year of New Beer: Sir Peché, Tröegs Independent Brewing (PA)

Aroma smacks with a huge hit of Brettanomyces, super funky, with maybe the most prevalent "horse blanket" I've encountered. Lactobacillus takes over on the tongue, producing a nearly jaw-clenching pucker. Hints of lemon and mango along the middle before the peach really kicks in. Lots of skin initially, but deepening to a cooked peach note with a subtle oak toward the finish. Even with that, the pucker never relents. I found this to be very enjoyable.
