Year of New Beer: The Ballad of Chaos, Burial Beer Co (Asheville)

More subdued nose than I was expecting given the ingredients. Baker's chocolate, caramel, and a mild floral note on the nose. Warmth does bring on a nutty component. Baked bread and a slightly earthy hop bite greet the tongue. Honey arrives mid-palate to sweeten things a bit, with just the faintest suggestion of cinnamon. Malt forward through the finish. This is one of those beers where I'm not sure how much different it might be if one (or more) of the listed ingredients wasn't there. Not as complex as I thought it might be, but still a very good beer.
