Year of New Beer: Alpha Experiment 291, Country Boy Brewing (Lexington)

As guests of the Gastro Gnomes Beer Dinner, we were treated to a sneak peek of the the latest in the Alpha series, brewed with experimental hops sent to the Boys direct from Sierra Nevada. All I can say is "Wow!", you need to be at the taproom tomorrow when this is unleashed. This beer is sure to satisfy a multitude of palates. The nose is ripe with aromas of fresh, grassy fields, and a touch of ragweed. On the tongue, however, comes an unexpected hint of blueberry and sweet, floral hops. Delicate in its balance, yet even-handed in its bitterness. Outstanding.
