Year of New Beer: The Illinois, Goose Island Beer Co. (Chicago)

Nose is comprised of caramel malt, tropical fruits (mango and pineapple), and some resinous pine. These all translate well to the tongue with some additional traces of honey and citrus rind, with a sticky, dry finish. This beer is (to me anyway) very similar to Bell's Hopslam, and that's not such a bad thing. Picked up at The Keg Liquors.
