Year of New Beer: NightTime, Lagunitas Brewing (CA)
Written By: Dion on 06/06/2014
An initial hit of pine and leafy, green hops on the nose is quickly joined by charred bread and coffee notes. On the tongue, the bitterness has a citrus lean at first, then becomes more dry and acidic, with a fantastic charred, smoky quality. The roasted malts, coffee, and chocolate provide balance without robbing the hops of their starring role. Another outstanding beer from a brewery that consistently cranks out a practically unbeatable combination of quality, value, and availability. Picked up at The Beer Trappe.
