Year of New Beer: Dissenter Imperial India Pale Lager, Founders Brewing (MI)

The latest edition in the Founder's Backstage Series, this one offers up a nose of fresh cut grass, and lightly herbal hops. Fairly timid aroma for an Imperial. On the tongue is a mildly sweet cracker malt, some zesty lemon, and beginning mid-palate, a nice earthy hop presence that holds on stubbornly through the finish. This is a clean, nicely balanced beer. Well done, Founders!
