Year of New Beer: Deadeye Stout, Triton Brewing Co. (Indianapolis)

Roasted coffee bean, dark chocolate, and an undercurrent of toffee make up the bulk of the aroma. Flavors fall along those same lines, but unfortunately (for me, anyway), the sweetness of the toffee doesn't stand out. In spite of that, the coffee and roasted malts, along with a subtle earthy hop presence help make this a fairly solid stout overall.
