Seawater and lemon zest hit the nose with fainter traces of spice lingering in the background. On the tongue is a light tartness with saltine crackers backed up by some orange peel, mineral water, and a touch of dried hay. I have come to prefer the more sour versions of this style, such as those from Anderson Valley and Westbrook, but this is a good introductory Gose.
