Year of New Beer: Celebration of Matrimony IPA, Country Boy Brewing (Lexington)

With a nose filled full of tropical & citrus fruits, my salivary glands kick in, anxious for what lies ahead. Plenty of grapefruit, mango, and even some tart peach notes in the aroma. On the tongue comes a nice blend of juicy fruit and a hop bitterness that builds but is held in check by a touch of honey-like sweetness and a bit of caramel malt backbone. The bitterness is drying on the finish. With so much focus on barrel aging, it's easy to forget sometimes just how good the Boys are at IPAs. This one will see some draft distribution, so keep an eye out.
