Year of New Beer: Taras Boulba, Brasserie de la Senne (Belgium)

Lightly sweet malts and damp hay on the nose, along with a floral character that blends nicely with the Belgian yeast. On the tongue, the sweetness is fleeting, quickly replaced by a dry, grassy hop bitterness and citrus pith that build mid-palate. A little spicy with traces of sparkling mineral water on the finish. Much better than I was expecting.
