Year of New Beer: 4Beans, Sixpoint Brewery (NY)

Semi-sweet chocolate and iced coffee front an aroma that also features subtle vanilla and lightly toasted bread. On the tongue the chocolate deepens and turns toward bitter with the aid of the charred coffee bean and mild, earthen hops. Traces of smoke and even a little wood are quickly chased by just the right amount of vanilla, caramel, and browned bread. This is very smooth and dangerously drinkable at 10% ABV, as the alcohol is virtually undetectable. Many thanks to The Beer Trappe for keeping the good beer flowing, and even more for having the option to purchase singles. Although I think this one might require multiples!
