Year of New Beer: Strawberry Rhubarb, New Glarus Brewing (WI)

Immediate strawberry sweetness hits the nose, along with juicy apple, while a very faint, earthy, vegetal tone lies underneath. On the tongue is an initial tart zip that quickly sweetens to an almost strawberry jam. Very mild malt backbone. Comes off a bit like a cider. While very good, this is probably my least favorite of the NG fruit beers due to the overpowering sweetness. Definitely advise sharing among several people if you are holding a bottle.
