Year of New Beer: Fille De Ferme, Wicked Weed Brewing (Asheville)

Slightly funky on the nose with citrus zest, damp hay, and traces of mineral water. Just as interesting on the tongue as an initial tartness led by orange peel gives way to traditional farmhouse elements of brett funk and white pepper. Light honeysuckle sweetness is joined by a bit of woody spice and even a touch of gose-like salinity on the moderately dry finish. Really nice beer.
