Year of New Beer: Black Currant Saison, Clown Shoes (MA)

Very light raspberry and grape are carried along by dry field grasses, peppery spice, and a solid Belgian yeast note on the nose. On the tongue, the berries are a bit more prominent, offering up a fleeting sweetness that gives way to more of the bready Belgian aspect, with hints of spice, floral grasses, and a touch mineral water. Nothing fancy, but very enjoyable.
