Slightly funky Belgian yeast leads an aroma that also features peach and apple skin before taking a more medicinal, mineral-like turn. On the tongue, the fruit skins are sweet atop a bit of bready malt before giving way to a fairly stern floral hop bite. The Brettanomyces provides a little funk, but doesn't overpower at all, tempered somewhat by a musty, earthy dryness. I'll let my second bottle of this sit for a while for the sake of experimentation, but I would have just guessed this as a hoppy Belgian IPA. Easy drinking, just not what I was expecting.
